Last Monday was the moment we'd been waiting for: our second themed event of the year - Disrupting the Industry . It was also our first-ever English-spoken edition!

We were warmly welcomed in the beautiful courtyard of Rosewood Amsterdam, where Emiliano Di Franca and his team made us feel right at home. Under the lively guidance of host Lisa Appels, we enjoyed a refreshing and inspiring day full of new ideas and perspectives.

We kicked things off with a Q&A with Hendrik Franken on successful concept development, followed by an interactive tasting session with Joël Broekaert. Next up was Sven Sallaerts, who shared the bold vision of Younique Concepts, summed up perfectly in their motto: “Mainstream is Dead.” Finally, Paul Spencer closed the program with his truly inspiring talk on “Soulful Hospitality” and the art of creating a genuine “Hearth”!

For making this international edition even more accessible, we used an AI Translator by Speaksee, allowing real-time translation from English to Dutch so everyone could fully experience the conversation.

Plenty of food for thought – and what better way to continue the conversation than over a cheerful network gathering? Complete with drinks, delicious canapés, cheeses, fresh bread, and even a touch of caviar.

Afgelopen maandag was het zover: de tweede themabijeenkomst van dit jaar met als thema: Disrupting the industry . Ons eerste Engelstalige event!

We werden hartelijk ontvangen in de prachtige courtyard van Rosewood Amsterdam, waar Emiliano Di Franca en zijn team ons warm verwelkomden. Onder leiding van dagvoorzitter Lisa Appels beleefden we een verfrissende en inspirerende dag vol nieuwe inzichten!

We trapten af met een Q&A met Hendrik Franken over succesvolle conceptontwikkeling, gevolgd door een interactieve tasting met Joël Broekaert. Daarna was het de beurt aan Sven Sallaerts, die ons meenam in de visie van Younique Concepts, waar het devies luidt: “Mainstream is Dead.” Tot slot sloten we af met het inspirerende verhaal van Paul Spencer, die ons op zijn eigen energieke wijze meenam in Soulful Hospitality en het creëren van een echte “hearth.”

Om deze internationale editie nog toegankelijker te maken, hebben we gebruikgemaakt van een AI-vertaler van Speaksee, die realtime vertaling van Engels naar Nederlands mogelijk maakt zodat iedereen het gesprek volledig kon meemaken.
